Traveller and Editor
We’re Michelle and Paul—partners in travel, life, and the pursuit of unforgettable experiences. Bay Tree Travel is our corner of the internet where we share the journeys that have shaped us, the places that have surprised us, and the meals that have made us linger a little longer.
Our travels take us across Europe, with Spain always holding a special place in our hearts. Whether we’re winding through mountain passes in our motorhome, checking into a cozy apartment in a sun-drenched village, or savouring local dishes in tucked-away tapas bars, we believe every trip should be as smooth, exciting, and memorable as possible.
We created Bay Tree Travel so that we can record our journeys and share them with likeminded travelers. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape or a grand European tour, we hope that you will find a little bit of information that will help shape your trips and turn your travels into lifelong memories.

A guest‑blogger’s journey from the UK to Portugal — told from the back seat of a roaring adventure bike.

Rain hammered the visor as we left Nottingham
The bike humming beneath us like a restless animal. From the pillion seat, the world blurred into grey spray and tail‑lights, the journey already testing our nerves before we’d even reached the motorway.
By Portsmouth, soaked and aching, we’d battled traffic, missed turnings, and coaxed a stubborn battery back to life. Yet as the ferry loomed ahead, I felt that familiar pillion thrill — the quiet certainty that the real adventure was only just beginning.
